Mark Hanson has nearly four decades of capital markets and securitization experience, most recently stepping down as senior vice president of Freddie Mac’s securitization efforts, where he oversaw the issuance and ongoing administration of $3+ trillion mortgage-backed securities.
Over the last decade, Hanson led Freddie Mac’s efforts designing, implementing and supporting the UMBS Single Security, combining the liquidity of the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae TBA markets.
In early 2020 Hanson stood up Freddie Mac’s Sustainability Office, coordinating across the corporation to produce ESG reporting, product and strategy development and growing awareness around social justice and climate risk.
